The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch

I am 34 years old and have worked at Glenridge for 7 years now. I started in Dining Services and worked my way up to the Life Planning Department last year. They have alot of opportunity for growth and to excel to different departments with hard work. We have all departments imaginable from Dining, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Grounds, Transportation, Fitness Center, Physical Therapy & all Higher Levels of Care for when you need Assisted, Skilled & Memory down the road. I didnt know CCRC's were even a thing until I had a good friend refer this job to me. It has been one of the best job's I have had in my young adult life. I feel blessed for this job and it has taught me a tremedous amount of maturity. I am happy to see our members thriving and living their best life stressfree. It's impressive when you see our members riding their bikes, walking around the campus, running and staying active and fit. All members are very sweet and feel like family after awhile. Positivity with managers and members have been one of the biggest reasons I have stayed this long.

We toured Glenridge on Palmer Ranch. It was very nice. Everything is well taken care of as far as their facilities. I like the way the facilities inside look, their rooms. You can get homes or more like a condo type of thing. There are lots of options there, and they're pet-friendly. The structure is not limited to people. The people are nice and put you in a good location. The staff was helpful and she explained things correctly. In the beginning, we didn't pick up on how they were set up as far as the level of care, but then she explained that to us.

I've toured Glenridge on Palmer Ranch on a group tour. It is in a very nice neighborhood in a planned community. It has some very nice things about it. They have adult courses and things like that. It is one of the three places in town for the people who are kind of affluent. It has a very nice gym. It's an upscale place. It's not a very old place, so everything is quite modern. There's security as you drive onto the property. It's a place that has a lot of pluses to it. They have an ice cream parlor. They have two dining rooms. In one of them you would have to wear a jacket, and in the other you don't need to be as dressed up. They have a theater. They have a lot of amenities. You have a certain meal allowance. It's a place that has some stature to it, and a lot of amenities. The only thing that I found negative is that you're allowed to decorate your front door area, and some of it was like old lady stuff. That's the only thing. They had paintings by some people that live there. It's a pretty nice place to be. Another big plus is that they have a trainer and a fairly nice gym going on there.

I'm going to live at Glenridge on Palmer Ranch. Their grounds were superior, and they had individual homes. I was looking for independent living with continuing care, so that facility fits the bill. They had all the amenities, including an exercise area.

The facility has had multiple scabies outbreaks that are never treated appropriately. The food they serve is appalling. The cleaning in the facility is pretty much non existent and most of the residents live in filthy rooms. I complained multiple times to managers about poor cleaning, and scabies issues. It was ignored for a year . They really just want employees who come and play blind to the multiple issues at this facility. Management is rude and lacks respect for employees. One of the managers has multiple write ups in HR from floor employees, but she continues to work there and bully the staff. Also members complain about rude nursing staff and they let the behaviors continue. Feel sorry for the patients living there. Keep searching!! They paint the picture of glitz and glamor...it's really nothing like that.
