We moved our mother into the Gables after she was released from rehab as she needed more assistance than she could get at her previous asst living facility. The entire staff was friendly and very outgoing. The bldg and grounds were well kept, bright and cheery, and plenty of activities for the residents. The food was outstanding and the dining experience was great. Even though our mother was there for only a short time, we feel she had a very positive experience and the entire staff tried to maker her last few weeks as comfortable as possible.
When my husband needed to enter assisted living I was feeling overwhelmed and very nervous about where he would go. I researched many places. Luckily I did find The gables" . It took some time for both of us to fully appreciate the place...I think what makes it especially wonderful are the people who work there. I have never seen anyone act impatiently or too busy for any questions or needs..I am very grateful to The Gables and i recommend them to anyone who needs a five star place.

What was told to us by sales staff has not been translated to reality. With level 3 care, we were made to believe that the response time would be no more than 15 minutes, once the alert button is pushed. That does happen most of the time, but too many times, my mom has waited 60-90 minutes without response and then has to call me for help. Excuses given: equipment is old, short-staffed, regular staff is on vacation, alert didn't go through. Her onboarding to her new home was severely lacking, including a not clean apartment and more. Most of the staff is wonderful but they have a couple that are rude. They also have had a lot of maintenance projects that they never mentioned would be happening. Food is fine and they do offer lots of activities.
Moved my dad to The Gables a month ago & we are very satisfied with his care. The staff are friendly and caring. I recommend The Gables Memory Care.
The Gables Palm Harbor is an exceptional place for families. The staff is caring and attentive, always ensuring a welcoming environment. The property is spotless and well-maintained, with beautiful grounds, clean common areas, and well-kept amenities. It’s clear that cleanliness and safety are top priorities here. Overall, a wonderful community for families to call home! Highly recommend.
