My mother-in-law spent her last year at Tesera/Ambience of Brandon. We moved her into their memory care unit when her dementia and Alzheimer's became too much for us to manage on our own. The staff their always showed her so much compassion and patience. When we visited, she and the other residents looked clean and well cared for. When she recently passed, my husband and I were overwhelmed with the amount of compassion and actual grief the nurses and caretakers showed for our loss. Moving your loved one into a care facility is a very hard decision. But Tesera/Ambience made the process easier.…

Moving your loved one into a care facility is a very hard decision. But Tesera/Ambience made the process easier. I'm the end, we know we made the right choice for her.
This place is HORRiBLE! The administration/management has much to be desired. Unprofessional, treat their staff like crap and that's an understatement ! There are very few facilities in the Brandon area which is very unfortunate . If you have a family member there or considering placing them there you better check on them EVERyDAY! Make your presence and voice known! I do believe if the "NEW" company brought in the right management meaning EXPERIENCED and made the right changes to make the facility like home for our beloved family members it could and would thrive!

On a recent visit I saw a female resident removed from a male resident 's room. She had gone into the unoccupied room and made herself comfortable on the bed, apparently soiling the linens. Apparently this is a regular occurrence with this woman, which was confirmed by several people I spoke with. Additional measures need to be in place to monitor this woman; or assign an aide to her by the facility or family. This incident and others by her was and is, very disturbing to many residents and visitors.
We wish to thank all the staff at the Tessera memory care for the wonderful care that Famyr receives. We thank God that Tessra and their people our there for her. Famyr is treated like family and says she is very happy. We visit often and are always treated with kindness. Any questions we have are answered with professionalism and promptness. We feel we could of not of found a better place for our family.
During Covid my mom was showing signs of early dementia wanted her closer to where I live. We moved her into Tessera on the Assisted Living Side - with the intent to move her over to Memory Care when the time came . The staff attempted to get her out of her room on many occasions- Heather Jacobs on several occasions went to get her and brought her downstairs - mom had a great tume( Heather sent us pictures) Once she was in memory care the staff was very good to her . No place is perfect and there will be some issues but they are understaffed but the staff who are there are so great!!! They were always pleasant when I was there on weekends and always took the time to answer questions I had about mom. She recently passed after less than a year in the memory care side partly due to a stroke which made her dementia worse. The staff and the ladies who man the front desk are extremely professional and always smiling
