So where do I start here, I should first start telling you how we came to learn about Swankridge. My elderly mom had always wanted to stay at home, we hired home health care workers but most of them could not communicate with my mom, she does not speak or understand Spanish. Some fell asleep right in front of my mom or found their phones more important than caring for my mom. Between my sister and I we were with my mom 12 hours a day, everyday, for two months even with the home health care workers, because with the exception of just two of them, we just didn't feel comfortable leaving them alone with our mom. After my moms second fall episode where my brother and I could hardly lift her we knew it was time to reconsider our plan. Swankridge is literally 3 blocks away from my house, so I reached out to them. My husband and I were invited over to their restaurant The White Lion for lunch to hear about their services, and what they offered. This was 2 1/2 months ago, my mom who was very adamant about never leaving her home, acclimated to her new lifestyle much easier than I did. Shannon and Loryanne have continued their mother's legacy, their staff are all very loving, professional, and just a joy. A lot of them have been with them for a long time which speaks volumes in their relationship with their employees. I feel like we have won the lottery and are very fortunate that we found Swankridge, my mom has not looked this good in years. Thank you Shannon and Loryann!
