My dad will be moving into Sunny Days in Apopka. One of the things I liked most about it is Linda, the owner, and her strong faith to her employee. The price is also better, though I wish I could get it cheaper. The property was really nice and homey. They allow smoking and that's important to me. There were veterans there, and that was nice. It's clean and I like that they kind of ask the people to come out to the dinner table and have dinner as a group because it will get my dad out of his room. Where dad's staying now is about the size of a hospital, and they couldn't go to the kitchen to dine anymore. I really liked the fact that in Sunny Days, they're communicating with the people to stay in the dining table.
I transferred my 96 year old father from an excellent facility here in Apopka to Sunny Days Retirement. Linda impressed me from the first meeting. My father was very happy and received excellent care. Eventually he went from a walker to a bed. Linda made sure dad had the latest bed and equipment to assure he did not receive any complications from being bedridden for an extended time. In addition he received comfort from the staff that devoted themselves to make him happy in a very difficult situation. I was lucky to have Dad in two of the best facilities I could ever hope to find.
I was in Sunny Days. I had a very small room, and I needed a room big enough to put in a recliner. There were no activities whatsoever, and everybody was in their rooms. It was not a bad place, but it was not a good fit for me. I shared a bathroom with five people.

We moved my sister-in-law into this home. My husband and I are very happy with the facility. The owner and the caretakers really seem to care about her. The owner really went out of her way to get the things set up for my sister-in-law. We really appreciate everything they have done. We feel really good about our selection.
My friend and I had pretty good tour of this community. The community could use some updating, but what we saw looked pretty decent. The staff was kind and welcoming. There are some improvement they need to make before considering to move here.
My sister is slowly settling into Sunnydays. She does participate in a few activities and likes to go on walks. She says the food tastes and smells good. This is an older community and may be in need of repairs but it is kept clean. I would recommend this community.
