The bathroom had diapers piled up on the floor; the shower had feces on the floor and shower curtain: the toilet always had feces on it. The person he shared the room with always took his blanket. When I talked with the aids, they said management is aware of it. The room was unhealthy to live in. It took too long to get him out of that room. Then they put him in another shared room with a man who breaks everything. So my husband couldn’t have a tv without it…

Since I brought my husband to their memory care facility he was placed in two different rooms. The first had urine and feces everywhere. The bathroom had diapers piled up on the floor; the shower had feces on the floor and shower curtain: the toilet always had feces on it. The person he shared the room with always took his blanket. When I talked with the aids, they said management is aware of it. The room was unhealthy to live in. It took too long to get him out of that room. Then they put him in another shared room with a man who breaks everything. So my husband couldn’t have a tv without it being broken. As time went on, that man urinated and left feces everywhere. The room wasn’t cleaned regularly and the garbage pail didn’t have a liner it leaving feces on it from dirty diapers. My husband’s sheets were taken along with his blankets and pillow I finally moved him out. Same breakfast every day, many times burned or uncooked. No amount of complaints helped. I had to wash the floors and toilet many times.
Pacifica Sun City Center was a terrible experience. The conditions are poor, with inadequate maintenance, dirty and neglected common areas, and ongoing issues that were never properly addressed. For a facility that claims to provide quality care, the environment alone is unacceptable. More troubling is the level of care. While she was living here, her condition clearly deteriorated, not improved. Concerns were raised multiple times, yet responses were slow, inconsistent, or dismissive. For a facility that claims to provide quality care, the environment alone is unacceptable. More troubling is the level of care. While she was living here, her condition clearly deteriorated, not improved. Concerns were raised multiple times, yet responses were slow, inconsistent, or dismissive. It felt like her well-being was not a priority. Management also increased the price unexpectedly, without transparency or any noticeable improvement in care or services. I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for safe, attentive care for a loved one. Belvedere Commons across the street is a far better option—cleaner, better run, and noticeably more attentive to residents’ needs. I deeply regret not choosing Belvedere Commons from the start.

I don’t think I have ever walked into a place and knew from the start that I was in the right place. My sister and I were out touring homes and we found the perfect one for a parent. Everyone was amazing and they all took the time to speak to us and interact with us on a personal level. The tour was so in-depth and we were given so much more information than any of the other facilities we visited. Jennifer is a SHINING STAR! She knew everyone’s name, she knew their likes and dislikes, she introduced us to the residents and even involved some of them in the tour. It was the sweetest most memorable tour we took all day. We know this is the place. Thank you for helping to ease the guilt and bring a feeling of relief that we found A Place for Mom.
Moving in was great Jennifer is awesome by the second month there wasn't much for them to do the weekends were left kinda lonely. My mom's Internet does not work very well in her room so her TV is half the time working they hired a new activities director and my mom says there's really not much to do. The staff is nice. It just would be nice if they would take the resident someplace every week offer a sip and mingle every week. Not just bingo Do a sip and paint maybe teach some dance moves. Cook outs, maybe ask the residence for their input on food. Everybody is nice there. My mom is just very lonely. She does get out and move around.
Communication is big. The staff I don't know is fully attentive because we went in on Mother's Day to visit her and she was soaked in urine and we told them that the chair was wet and nobody clean the chair

Very friendly staff, [name removed] is an angel! Beautiful and clean facility. Lots of areas to relax in and socialize, inside and out! Very nice flooring and lights throughout the Center. Gorgeous area for all 3 meals, not assigned seating, great menus. I could not find one negative thing to comment on! I love my studio.
