My name is Beniamino (Barney) Lombardi and I’ve been a resident at Saint Joseph’s since mid March 2023. I had open heart surgery in March 2022. Three days after my surgery I had a stroke. When I was able to leave the hospital I was at Saint John’s Residence until the middle of March 2023 when I was well enough to move into Saint Joseph’s. I can tell you without hesitation that both facilities are extremely well run and provide a wide range of activities for the residents to enjoy. I recommend both facilities without hesitation. My Mom had lived at St Joseph's assisted living for over 5 yrs I have been so happy & blessed with the care she has received .The staff & nurses are so caring, helpful , competent & conscientious . I could not have asked for a better place for her to live.

I cannot tell you enough how happy my aunt was during her stay at St. Joseph Residence in Lauderdale Lake, Florida. She was there from February of 2023 through February of 2025. As a family, we all moved out of State, which is why she left the facility. She felt at home in her private 1-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen and balcony which she loved to relax on. Although, she did not cook in the kitchen, she was able to make her coffee and have a microwave and toaster. She was very happy to have a small chapel conveniently located on the main floor where she attended masses and rosary whenever she could. She found the staff very helpful and pleasant (as did I) and she connected with many of the other residents that lived there. Although the building is older and may not have a lot of frills, the facility was maintained and was always kept clean inside and outside and never had any odors, like many do. It is a good price compared to many out there and we always felt she was watched after and safe. The Marketing coordinator/social services coordinator, Elaine and Human Resource, Michaelle, have been very helpful overtime. The nursing staff, Aides and front desk and maintenance are all very nice and always there to lend you a hand.
A staffer named KIM was extremely rude, forceful and callous toward a resident and myself. Manager attempted to intervene, but KIM just kept going at it, shouting, name calling and making a scene. Nothing else was done to remove KIM from this situation upsetting the resident terribly. Totally unacceptable treatment of the resident.

[name removed] was extremely offensive and unprofessional, and unapologetic, shouting screaming names and making a scene. It was very upsetting to the resident. The supervisor sided with this person [name removed]. This was totally unacceptable treatment of the resident and visitor.
