Seaview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

This is my second night here. Being paralyzed from the waste down, I need help from the nurses..late at night, it takes an hour for a nurse to respond to my calling, and even after the response, they take a long time to do what I’m asking...like things that my body needs to be set in before I go to sleep. The night nurses also seem unfriendly, as they look like they’re forced to do things nurses are supposed to do...like bring medication when needed.

My dad was at Seaview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, but I was moving him to another facility. It was OK, but sometimes the nurses don't do what they were supposed to do. I could see a lot of nurses just standing around, and I could see the patient needing something and trying to alert them, but they were talking among themselves. I was calling to check on my dad because he lost his phone, and every station that I called had me on hold for a long time, they transferred me to this person, and that person was supposed to go get my dad. Not a very clean place. The patients do get outside & are provided entertainment. The staff does seem to genuinely care for their patients however. This is what you get when you can't afford better.
