Seabreeze Assisted Living

From Dave: "One of the most challenging days of my life was when it became necessary to move my wife into an assisted living facility. She was in need of a level of assistance and continuous therapy that I simply could no longer provide. With much resistance, my wife entered Seabreeze and was greeted by Yvonne and staff who gently helped her feel at ease. Seabreeze offers an incredible amount of freedom to its residents, where they can eat, sleep, or engage in other activities just like they would do at home. This made it possible for me to become her husband again rather than her caregiver. Almost daily I would visit at different times of the day and find my wife involved in some kind of activity. Frequently we would sit outside on one of the patios and visit with the other residents. We felt as though we were part of a family. After she lived there a couple of weeks I asked her, “Who gives you the best care—me or the staff?” And much to my surprise she answered, “The staff!” The location of Seabreeze in a residential area is ideal, especially since it backs up to the school playground where we could watch children playing and see after-school athletic practices.
