3.9 · 82 reviewsArrived with a broken leg on 1/29/26. Unfortunately, I think the staff (therapy as well) is overwhelmed. I developed a blood clot, which they totally missed and my doctor submitted instructions for me to be discharged sooner and that never happened. I'm still fighting about being overcharged! Let's face it, rehab is not fun. They need some new pillows!!!

I give Sarasota Point Rehab 5 stars for their PT and daytime staff. Michelle the activity director is amazing! So kind and patient with all the residents. I participated in karaoke and it was a blast! Jessica and Kjirsten in PT were amazing with my 89 year old dad. Very friendly, kind and patient. Derek the Social Services director was so approachable and always was available to answer my questions. Lori the director was also very friendly and always available to answer my questions. My only negative comment would be the night staff. My dad complained that they were rough and pushed his…

I give Sarasota Point Rehab 5 stars for their PT and daytime staff. Michelle the activity director is amazing! So kind and patient with all the residents. I participated in karaoke and it was a blast! Jessica and Kjirsten in PT were amazing with my 89 year old dad. Very friendly, kind and patient. Derek the Social Services director was so approachable and always was available to answer my questions. Lori the director was also very friendly and always available to answer my questions. My only negative comment would be the night staff. My dad complained that they were rough and pushed his wheelchair into the wall. Sometimes they got him up at 4:30 am even when he did not want to get up and gave him his meds on an empty stomach and he got severely nauseous. Many times they came in at night and left the lights on so my dad could not sleep. Daytime staff is amazing! Nighttime staff not so great.

The greatest feature about this facility is the staff. I have felt very well cared for since I've been here and the activities director is extraordinary she is an exceptional individual that is made every day fun and involving. It would have been very easy for me just to be putting in my room and not do anything or meet anybody but she took a personal interest in what we were doing and how we were doing it she alone deserves five stars Plus
My father-in-law was admitted to Sarasota Point Rehabilitation Center for rehab, but what we witnessed was shocking neglect. When we arrived for a visit, he was in severe distress: his underpants were soaked with blood from an untreated urinary tract infection (UTI), he had a high fever, and he was clearly in significant pain. Basic hygiene and monitoring had obviously been ignored, allowing his condition to deteriorate badly. I immediately asked staff to transfer him back to the hospital for proper emergency care. They refused to call 911 insisting I hire a private ambulance at a cost of $265 (credit card only) and wait THREE HOURS for pickup. The nurse on duty even said that if she called 911, she would "get in trouble." This response put my family member at serious risk. I called 911 myself—paramedics arrived in about 5 minutes, evaluated him, and transported him directly to the hospital, where he was readmitted and treated for the infection and complications. This is unacceptable for any rehab facility, especially one caring for elderly or recovering patients. The lack of timely intervention, poor infection control, and apparent policy against emergency transfers could have had devastating consequences. I strongly advise families to choose a different facility—patient safety and dignity should never be compromised like this.

The staff was very friendly. You can tell they prioritize the care and comfort of patients. The rehab team is amazing. Very clean environment, the cleaning people kept up with ensuring the cleanliness was 10/10.
