Trish is the absolute best! The care and attention she puts into her job is amazing. The service she provides makes my family feel so comfortable and happy. Thank you Trish!
I went there after a total knee replacement. I couldn’t ever get the CNAs to answer the call button in my room. I wasn’t supposed to walk to the bathroom by myself. One day when they wouldn’t help me I called my brother at my house to come help me. Then I called the nurses station and told her I called my brother to come help me. I heard her tell the CNAs I had called him. Not one of them came to check on me after that.Whenever I would ask for a pain pill a few of them would tell me they were as needed. Yeah I’m the one that needed them. I could have one every 4 hours as needed. The afternoon…

Yeah I’m the one that needed them. I could have one every 4 hours as needed. The afternoon and graveyard CNAs would either be at the nurses station being loud but not checking on us or right outside our door with the nurse. Sometimes they said the call buttons weren’t working. I could hardly ever get ice packs! Day shift Nurse Kristi and graveyard nurse Stan were great! All the PT staff was great too. I wouldn’t refer anybody to that facility.

Royal oaks is a wonderful place with exceptional care.
I wish there was a “4 1/2” rating… Everything was pretty close to perfect with some minor “hiccups” for me. Food was top notch, plenty of variety on menu and alternatives available. But one or two therapists tended to be kind of “doom and gloom” types, preaching going into extended care before half of regular rehab care used up… some patients may respond to this treatment… I do not, I believe more in positive reinforcement. However, IF I ever need rehabilitation, I would not hesitate to choose Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center There was a “team” of PT therapists that I was finally assigned to that were amazing! Nothing depressing, just supportive! Had me out of a wheelchair and using a walker in short order.
My mom Broke her tibia And Fibia and she has been staying here and she really really likes it. I would definitely keep you informed on things and have meetings with you and everything about what’s going on and they keep you well informed if you have a problem they address it.
My mother was sent here after having a pacemaker put in . She was there for one day and had to be sent back to the hospital for a blood clot. I was told that they would pack up her things and they would keep it safe for her for when she returned. After about 5 days in the hospital she returned to the facility and she was missing all of her pull ups and a couple of her night gowns. The very next day she had a Dr appointment with the doctor who put the pacemaker in he declared her and told her that she was good to go home. So we took that literally, we brought her home. Now, mind you, the doctor's appointment was down in south melbourne.And it was at five o'clock.It takes time to drive back.Get her settled in.Then, we went to the facility to pick up her things.My daughter and I arrived at the facility at 7pm on Thursday to collect her things . WELL I was put on the phone with the administrator who then told me that I had no right to take her out of that facility and that they were gonna call the police have us arrested for kidnapping, then call dcf on us. I told him that I had POA and he told me that I couldn't make that decision for her that she was of sound mind and she would have to tell him that she wanted to go home herself. We had a 3 way call.And she told him that she wanted to go home. Ended up being that I had to bring her back to the facility because she didn't want my daughter. Nor I to get arrested. So, we brought her back. BUT it didn't stop there they proceeded to tell her that if she didn't stay her insurance wouldn't cover her stay and she would have to pay out of pocket for the time that she spent there! NOT TRUE FASLE INFORMATION. She was covered 100%. Just another way to keep her there . Heads in the beds brings in the money. I wonder what AHCA would think about this...
