About this community

Park Place of Dunedin Inc is an assisted living facility in Dunedin, Florida. Assisted living is generally intended for people who need help with some activities of daily living but do not require the continuous skilled nursing care associated with a nursing home. The available directory information identifies assisted living as the community’s care option, but does not describe specific services, staffing arrangements or individual care plans. A property listing gives the site’s capacity as 15 beds; that figure describes the listed property and does not establish current occupancy.

The property is described as a one-story site with three separate buildings. Its main building has seven bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, along with formal and casual living and dining areas, a kitchen and an office. The listing also notes two wood-burning fireplaces. These are features of the building as described in a real-estate listing, not confirmation of current resident room assignments or how the spaces are used in daily operations.

A second building is listed with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen and a common area with a vaulted ceiling. Both this building and the main building have covered and open porches, offering different types of outdoor space. The third building contains a vaulted-ceiling conference room and a full bathroom; the listing says it could also serve as a bedroom suite. It does not establish that this room is used as a bedroom. A separate food pantry, laundry room and large storage shed are also noted, though their current uses are not specified.

A community description identifies a computer room, garden and patio. Along with the porches and common areas described in the property listing, these features give a picture of indoor and outdoor spaces on the site. The listing records a total building area of 5,101 square feet on a 0.38-acre lot, and notes that the building was constructed in 1938 and renovated in 2015. Those property figures provide context about the site, but do not indicate the size or layout of individual resident rooms. The listing names kitchens and dining areas but does not explain meal arrangements.

The community is in downtown Dunedin. The property listing places it half a block from Mease Hospital and Dunedin City Hall, and within walking distance of shopping. A separate community description places it near the Gulf Coast and a few blocks from Dunedin Stadium. These details describe nearby destinations and the setting; the available information does not state whether residents receive transportation or assistance visiting them. The sources also do not specify which, if any, of the described buildings or amenities are currently available to residents.

As a Guardian I am always searching for alternative living environments for those men and women I need to move out of their homes because they no longer can care for themselves safely. Park Place of Dunedin is an OASIS in a world of ALF's and Nursing Homes in our county (Pinellas County, Florida). I have placed several women in this charming, clean, and well mangaged facility over the last several years. I have come to fully trust the owners (Jim and John) and their excellent staff. Relocating is never easy...and comes with its challenges. Park Place without a doubt treats everyone as family.…

Park Place without a doubt treats everyone as family. I would encourage anyone searching for a "home away from home" to consider Park Place of Dunedin as a first option!

My mother has been a resident at Park Place for the past 6 years. She has enjoyed the beautiful setting of this superb, clean, caring home. The owners and their staff keep a vigilant watch over their residents. Even at the age of almost 91 they've kept Mom moving and interested in her environment. She raved about and looked forward to the home-cooked meals each day that are served in the beautiful, antique filled dining rooms. The home's location is perfect! It is within walking distance to doctors, hospital, restaurants, and downtown Dunedin. Unfortunately, Mom needs extended skilled care and reluctantly needs to relocate. I have the utmost confidence in recommending Park Place if you are looking for a facility for a loved one.
