What a smooth process it was to check in at the Oasis Conch Republic. The check in comprised of a quick picture and temp check, done at the same time. Then a short questionnaire and a Visitor Pass with your picture on it was promptly printed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

Very clean, the staff was incredibly caring and sweet to my mother, the food was not “hospital “ food it was like a home cooked meal from home, and she most importantly was happy throughout her stay.

This review has a caveat, so please bear that in mind while reading. My mother spent two years here until her passing. I visited most every day at different times so I became very acquainted with the staff and the community. First and foremost I found the care to be excellent and administered by a very professional and compassionate staff. At no time was my mother’s medical and personal hygiene care sub par. Truly more staff could be appreciated because taking care of someone who is physically and/or mentally challenged is hard. Her room was always clean and any issues that I had were rectified in a timely manner. I found the facility to be clean in general. Any patient that I encountered appeared clean and as comfortable as they could be made. The physical facility is really the issue as the building needs updating. That being said as of this writing I see efforts being made to refresh and present a less institutional environment. In the end it is really the care being given that counts which I would rather have than a new facility and neglect of the patient.

I was welcome as soon I walked in, everyone looked happy, I had a good time talking to my friend and others there. Please don’t forget to visit family and friends🙏
