Nurses Advocating for Seniors

Truly above and beyond service. DJ is a licensed RN and is incredibly competent and reliable. She has been in Sarasota for a long time and has a great reputation. She seems to know everyone and is very knowledgeable about the different senior care communities. This woman is the real deal.

I can not say enough about my personal experience with DJ Lambert….an angel sent to me during an excruciatingly painful period in my life. My elderly mother was in the end of life and she was sent to me to assist in the confusing decision making period. There are many people out there that I learned unfortunately are sales people and are touting themselves as advocates for the elderly…. Some of these so called “advocates “ are in it for the almighty dollar 😢 DJ lambert is incredibly honest and trustworthy putting her knowledge to work immediately and treating my mother’s situation as if it were her own mother and treating me as a family friend!! DJ was an absolute lifesaver for helping me find a memory facility for my Mom. Our family was lost and didn't know where to start and she helped us every step of the way. She listened to our needs and what we wanted for our Mom in terms of costs, location, environment, accomodations, and staff. Everyone in the Sarasota health field knows her and she is well known at all the facilities. I can't recommend her enough if you are looking to place your loved one in an assisted living or nursing home and don't know where to begin. She's the absolute best and also a nurse! To say that DJ is a lifesaver would be an understatement. I was referred to her when my elderly father fell and was in and out of hospitals and rehab facilities, and am so glad I was. She helped me navigate the different facilities and associated administrations, the various levels of care he could receive, and provided me with options for the future. She oversaw his medical treatment when he was in a skilled nursing facility, and made sure he received the attention he needed and deserved from an otherwise inattentive staff. Without DJ, so many things would have fallen by the wayside, including orders for crucial medicines and treatments. It seemed impossible six months ago, but now my father is back at home with a team of home health aides. DJ is still acting as a coordinator to ensure he receives the right medicines at the right times, and to continue his physical and occupational therapies at home, and to stay on top of his care plan. New to the world of Medicare and elder care, I never would have been able to accomplish any of that on my own. Plus, my father loves her efficient, no-nonsense manner. If your senior loved one needs an advocate, and you need help, do not hesitate to give her a call!
