We could still take care of ourselves and it's a one bedroom apartment; it's great. They have wellness people come in once or twice a month.…”

It's at downtown St. Petersburg which is close to everything. We could still take care of ourselves and it's a one bedroom apartment; it's great. They have wellness people come in once or twice a month. We have hearing doctors that come in to test our hearing as well as eye doctors that come in to do exams; it's all at no extra cost. We also have a social worker who takes care of all Medicare and Medicaid matters when you need help. You have to be certified there and it…

When I was looking for a place for my husband and myself, we found Lutheran Apartments. It's for seniors sixty-two and over. It's at downtown St. Petersburg which is close to everything. We could still take care of ourselves and it's a one bedroom apartment; it's great. They have wellness people come in once or twice a month. We have hearing doctors that come in to test our hearing as well as eye doctors that come in to do exams; it's all at no extra cost. We also have a social worker who takes care of all Medicare and Medicaid matters when you need help. You have to be certified there and it goes by income. They're nice and big however nothing's perfect. You're not going to find a perfect place but I'm giving it a five because it's big; it has sixteen floors. They have Bingo, shows and outings with people. Every Friday, they take seniors to the supermarket who can't get around independently. We're five blocks from the supermarket and there are plenty of places to eat in the downtown area.
