Lighthouse Inn

When I first got to the lighthouse Inn I was very happy being one block from the beach. Even though I paid for a private room which was extremely pricey and not so private, in the course of events I was moved three times, the first time on two hours notice. Many of my belongings went missing but the administrator did not even care. The administrator has no regard for her residents and is crooked as can be usurping peoples incomes without their knowledge. For many years she paid for cruise after cruise with oSocial Security money. In addition, she went behind my back, forged a doctor's note and made herself payee of my income which was considerable compared to other residents. The building is falling apart and it's in foreclosure. There are multiple lawsuits against this facility. Several young people passed away while I was there, and she shorted an older gentleman $100 every month until I pointed it out to her. That's when the retaliation against me began. The living conditions we're horrible- faulty air conditioner leaking all over me in the night, no pool that was swimmable and the food is beyond disgusting. If you value your life or the life of others you will steer clear of the Lighthouse Inn.

This place is an absolute nightmare, if you want to die quickly come here and give it about 6 months. The administration and staff could care less about the residents and their welfare, and offer no assistance if hurt. The administrator has no clue on how to run this facility and only cares about money! The staff is a bunch of punk kids with God complexes, they love ordering people around and holding their meds against them until they get their way! They take the water away from you for half a day and only put it out or refill The Jug when it's convenient for them! They violate so many rules and regulations governing ALF's it's unbelievable! the food is horrible and they serve nothing but Frozen and canned goods, and the cook is nothing but a reheater who thinks he runs the place and the administrative listens to everything he says without getting both sides to any story! The state came in the other day and told my brother they were this close to shutting this place down, with roaches all over the kitchen and bed bugs and half the rooms this place is not fit for pets, speaking of which day let the resident bring the head staff dog into the dining room and lets them eat at the table with the dog running around barking and crying all over the place! I will be moving my brother out of this place ASAP and filing formal complaint with the state Ombudsman office about the treatment of the residents and lack of care they receive!!! so take this as fair warning and stay as far away from this place as possible! PS viscaya by the sea is just as bad if not worse!!!
