Legacy of Leesburg

Moved here a year ago from the winters in Maine. We couldn't be happier. We're used to nature and space and opportunity to make a difference in the area. When we were searching we looked at all areas around and what they would offer at an "affordable" price. I believe that Legacy has the lowest HOA in area- the biggest reason for that is because there is no golf course to keep up. However, for people that want to play, they are all around us and according to my neighbors very affordable. You will find all the types of activities you may be looking for,Bocce, Paddle Ball, Tennis, lots of clubs organizations and opportunities to start many more. We're in the process of having our new Recreational center opening, including new gym and workout are. A dog park is in the works for the future.

Legacy of Leesburg is a 55 plus community. Very clean, very friendly. But they're in the middle of redoing their social hall and gym and the pool

Update: 9/2015~~We toured a home last fall (2014) with Lanell. Azalea model which was already sold but we wanted to see the layout (home was nearing end of construction). Luckily the home came on the market the beginning of September 2015. Drove down to FL to see the home and look around. We can't wait to move to Legacy the end of October. 10/2014~~Our second visit to Legacy. (first was in 2012) On vacay from PA looking at retirement communities. Beautiful, well-maintained community. Legacy does not have a golf course which we liked. This time we stopped at the sales office! Lanell, a wonderful lady showed us several homes. Love the clubhouse/pool area! Legacy sits back from the road (Rte 27) which we like. We looked at a lot for sale but unfortunately that didn't work out...which was being privately sold by someone who lives out of state. We like the area since we have a boat so Legacy would work very well for us! Legacy is in the Top 50 in Where to Retire magazine. We'll be back next summer to look at re-sales or maybe a new home. We were there in November seen a very nice model home they are building it now it will be ready in May looking forward to it nice and quiet place

I like Legacy of Leesburg because it’s single homes and it’s very open air. The home is smaller than the home that I live in but it’s just enough space for 2 adults. The staff was very accommodating; the area is very clean. The location is very good.
