Terrifying Experience – Avoid at All Costs Laurellwood Care Center is not a safe place for anyone’s loved one. I honestly dislike writing bad reviews and I don't do it often, but this was so glaring I feel that I have to. From the moment we walked in, the facility felt dirty, rundown, and frankly scary. The staff turnover is constant — it seemed like a different crew almost every night, and no one knew what was going on. Terrifying Experience – Avoid at All Costs Laurellwood Care Center is not a safe place for anyone’s loved one. I honestly dislike writing bad reviews and I don't do it often, but this was so glaring I feel that I have to. From the moment we walked in, the facility felt dirty, rundown, and frankly scary. The staff turnover is constant — it seemed like a different crew almost every night, and no one knew what was going on. The list of ridiculous things that occurred is too long to list, but the most glaring issue is her near-death experience: My mother-in-law nearly died while in their care. She became septic, and instead of recognizing the signs, staff left her in a dangerously incoherent state. We happened to arrive to check on her, and we began to Google symptoms ourselves to figure out what was wrong. If WE hadn’t insisted that an ambulance be called hen we did, she would not be alive today. I would not trust them with your family member’s health or well-being.

This place is horrible!! My mother has been in and out of rehab/nursing care centers for the past 3yrs and this is by far the worst!!! Refused to call 911 for her and when I came to get her out of there and take her to the er she had been sitting in wet clothes all night, All you can smell entering this place is the overwhelming smell of urine.
I had a short but very positive experience with a loved one staying at Laurellwood Care Center. I would like to recognize the staff that works here. The staff is extremely professional, respectful, and most importantly-caring. I communicated specially with Linda (I believe front desk?) and their administrator, Miki. I would like to recognize Miki for her care, her attention to detail, and her professionalism. Would recommend to others, just because the staff is so exceptional. Thank you to this team.
This place is terrible. I don’t know why you let your guys family stay here. I work there for a few weeks and have dirt on this place. I have also pictures and stuff that was said to the residence. I will be calling State people first thing in the morning the staff is terrible. CNA‘s nurses they don’t know who’s in charge. Everybody thinks they’re in charge and they’re disrespectful. I already made a complaint nothing have been done so I will be talking to state how to resentment treating and employees, especially the housekeepers please if you have your family there, remove them if not safe for them, one lady was not changed for like four hours another residence was on the ground. I tried to help her up, I need help nobody was an around they all outside, talking having conversation. You can never find a CNA to do the job all day always complaining about doing their job their disrespectful they’re not friendly they don’t care they are rude. I don’t understand why this place is still open then, when the state get there they want act like they care about the residence or doing a good job They want to follow the rules. You should be doing that all through not wait until the state get there to try to do was right for the residence. Just sad. The place is old and dirty it need to be shut down. I couldn’t take it anymore so I quit‼️🥺
My friend is there right now and they are killing him with food. He's a diabetic and they are feeding him garbage. They checked his blood sugar in front of me just before his lunch arrived and it was 275 ,unacceptable. Lunch was beans, corn, BBQ soaked riblet and peaches in syrup. None of which should be given to a diabetic. Shame on these people.
This place is terrible. Please do not let your family members stay here if you care about them at all. It’s dirty, old, run down, and borderline scary. The staff is rude and careless. They “lost” all of my mothers prescriptions she came in with. I absolutely do not recommend. All of the 5 star reviews are undoubtedly written by staff.
