Memory care is provided in The Cove, a neighborhood designed for people with Alzheimer’s disease or other memory impairments. Its structured, familiar setting and daily support are shaped around cognitive needs. The “Silhouette of My Life” program tailors engagement to each resident’s personal history and preferences. Memory care floor plans include St. Armands and Osprey companion studios, as well as the one-bedroom, one-bath Siesta Key and Venice layouts.
Dining is available at seven on-site restaurants, with settings ranging from casual to fine dining. Menus change with the seasons and feature local or farm-to-table ingredients; several restaurants are also open to the public. Tonix is a mobile-style bar serving non-alcoholic tonics, elixirs and other drinks. Other listed dining options include a café or bistro, pub or bar, private dining room and room service. An on-site salon and spa includes a massage room.
The Life Enrichment program offers more than 21 daily social, cultural and wellness experiences. Listed activities include yoga and chair yoga, music, gardening, games, educational speakers, arts and crafts, cooking classes and day trips. Common areas and amenities include a library, game room, cocktail lounge, TV lounge, fireplace, patio, gardens and putting green. The community is pet-friendly, and listed apartment features include kitchenettes, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and wheelchair-accessible showers.
Transportation and weekly outings provide opportunities to visit local destinations such as Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, the Ringling Museum of Art, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and the Sarasota Opera House. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, professional, and willing to answer any questions I had. You can tell the staff genuinely care about the people who live there, and that makes all the difference. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a place for a family member.
Five stars all the way! I would give them more if I could. My mom arrived there in May 2022, 4 years into her journey with Alzheimer’s. The kindness and care she received there were off the charts. She was so happy and felt very loved. We will never be able to repay them for the joy they gave her and my family.
My mom has now been in the Memory Care facility of Harbor Chase for 1 year. Prior to this she was in 2 other memory and assisted living facility in Sarasota. This place has been a great home and relief for my mom and us. The Staff are all wonderful and June the Director of Memory Care is absolutely awesome, she really takes time with all the residents and is involved with them and helps her team out as well. The Food is really good here not hot dogs and chicken tenders….soup, salads, main and deserts. They have lots of events and activities. The Facility is very clean and well maintained.…

The Staff are all wonderful and June the Director of Memory Care is absolutely awesome, she really takes time with all the residents and is involved with them and helps her team out as well. The Food is really good here not hot dogs and chicken tenders….soup, salads, main and deserts. They have lots of events and activities. The Facility is very clean and well maintained. There are 2 outdoor areas for Memory. I really feel comfortable with my mom at this location.

WeCare Senior Relocation Services has worked with Harbor Chase and their residents. Such a wonderful staff and happy residents. We love this community and especially Doreen she always makes the process of moving so easy! I highly recommend. ❤️
Visited last July and toured with Brian in sales. Loved it and was at the point of making it home, and then at home an accident happened where I chipped 3 teeth and broke one. I made Brian aware, and he'd email and check in on me. Fast-forward a few weeks into August, and I see he has left the company. In the first week of Sept, I called and spoke to Doreen, expressed my interest, and introduced myself. 7 or 8 weeks go by, putting us in mid-November, and finally an email from her. I explained I was incapacitated as I had a stomach virus, which was known to cause stomach cancer, and was going through treatment but was still interested. Around this time, it was near Thanksgiving, and, mind you, there were 0 phone calls from her, so I reached out to Barclay of Sarasota. I continued with physical therapy through Christmas, since I have been bedridden since early November. January came and got an email from Doreen, where she said she'd love to talk. She had 4 months and made 0. I told her I would be visiting Barclay and went over figures from when Brian was there. She never responded back. I really like HarborChase, but when you're in sales and there are 0 phone calls (other than 1 I made), that says it all. I love Justin and Cheryl there. After my tour with Barclay, I wanted to compare #s. I can compare, so it looks like I'll be going to Barclay of Sarasota. All in all, I could have called, but if you want my $$$ she should make a call or 2.
This building offers some of the best resident events I’ve ever seen. The staff truly goes above and beyond—everything is thoughtfully planned, the food is great, and you can tell they genuinely care about the residents.On top of that, the building is always clean and well maintained, which really makes a difference. Highly recommend!
This building has the best events for the residents that I’ve ever seen. Great food, great staff; they really go all out. We went to a Christmas party for the residents, and it was amazing. I would give this place eight stars if I could.
I transferred my loved one to Harbor Chase of Sarasota from another facility that was not caring for her properly. The staff at Harbor Chase actually listened to me and have worked, and continue working with her to build trust. My loved one's appearance and cleanliness is 100 times better and the cleanliness of the facility is 100 times better. It's awesome and a relief to visit and see life and not just existence! Thank you is not enough!
