Every detail of our move was made easier with the help of the fantastic marketing team, we should have moved in 5 years ago! We are enjoying our new home, new friends, multiple activities, and all the special services available to us. Freedom Square was a perfect choice for this phase of our lives.
Reading the glowing reviews, they are written by the families, not by residents. My daughters would write exactly the same. It's been nearly a year since I left. While the units were being repaired from damage from the hurricane, I was sent for three weeks to a beach hotel. For me, not a vacation. Upon my return, I reported about the things stolen by those working in my unit. Nothing was done, nor investigated. I was blown off. Today, I looked for my pearl earings, which I didn't wear often. They are gone. Gone with my fur vest, Sargadelo vase (exquisite Spanish porcelain) silver forks, and…

Reading the glowing reviews, they are written by the families, not by residents. My daughters would write exactly the same. It's been nearly a year since I left. While the units were being repaired from damage from the hurricane, I was sent for three weeks to a beach hotel. For me, not a vacation. Upon my return, I reported about the things stolen by those working in my unit. Nothing was done, nor investigated. I was blown off. Today, I looked for my pearl earings, which I didn't wear often. They are gone. Gone with my fur vest, Sargadelo vase (exquisite Spanish porcelain) silver forks, and many other small items. When is this going to stop? I planned to dress up for a very special occasion this weekend. Without a vehicle to get more nor enough money to pay for them . . . . Others, at that time, shared with me things taken while they were away, but were too afraid to say anything. Freedom Square, to me, is a haven for a nest of blue-vested thieves. Oh, I am livid. You may see me at the function in a beautiful French designer dress my daughter sent me, long, 80-count pearl necklace, no pearl earrings.
Definitely a five star experience! My mom loved the campus, the dining & more importantly the wonderful & caring staff! Sadly she passed but I know her last few years were enjoyable! I also became friends with staff & look forward to visiting from time to time! Btw, the wellness center/ nurses were incredible & compassionate! I would totally recommend Freedom Square! TY

This is the most fantastic, fantabulous place I could ever imagine having the privilege to stay! The food is fantastic! I've been here 2 weeks and have never had the same meal twice! I've lost 8 lbs. In 2 weeks water weight. Im a 67 year old woman on oxygen 24 hrs. A day. I was diagnosed to die soon from my lungs but live alone and broke an elbow and feel like they have added years to my life! Staff friendly, fantastic and very professional. One guy James who works the day shift has been here 25 years. Real sweetheart. Everyone all is. If you need rehab place, Ask your insurance co. For Feedom Square! AMAZING!
My Mom stayed at Freedom Square for a few weeks of rehab earlier this year. I was thoroughly impressed with the team of staff at the facility and the engagement of management starting from the very top with the new Administrator, Jeff. He clearly has a handle on the details of the operations and how to expand the services provided at FS. The head of Nursing, Robin, is amazing and has a high capacity for closely monitoring the care being given across all the departments within FS. I was able to stay in contact with staff in a variety of areas during my Mom's stay, even into the evenings and weekends to get personal updates in addition to what I had access to via their portal. We had a few things come up along the way as can be expected but the team helping my Mom was extremely responsive and I believe this place will continue to offer great service. The rehab staff were very effective in getting my Mom to where she needed to be and they created a caring environment which made the experience a positive one. Everyone who came into my Mom's room was pleasant and seemed to genuinely care about helping patients. I'm confident FS will continue to get even better and better as time goes on.

Four months ago, my mother moved into Freedom Square. At age 92, with various health concerns (high blood pressure, hearing loss, etc.), and having lost my father to Parkinson's, it made sense to move. Now that she is there, she wishes she had moved sooner! Mom is quick to tell all of her friends "Don't wait to move like I did - move now while you can still enjoy it!". She has made so many new friends (the residents are super friendly), the staff is very caring, and there are many activities for fun and socialization. Her independent-living apartment (with a full kitchen) is lovely, bright and sunny, and feels brand new. Lunch and dinner are also available for residents in independent-living apartments. While the food is very good, be aware that some items on the menu can be high in sodium. To help with this, the cook staff do offer sauces on the side to reduce sodium content and take into consideration individual dietary concerns. Overall, VERY yummy and better than most restaurants! And no more worries about hurricanes! Freedom Square has generators, is in a no-evacuation zone, and has hurricane-safe windows in every unit. In the event of a hurricane, staff will move in and live on site to help as needed. Overall, Freedom Square is: friendly, responsive, caring, clean, well-managed, safe and where I would chose to live myself.
