Ask about this communityEmory L Bennett Veterans’ Nursing Home is a state veterans’ nursing home in Daytona Beach, Florida, in Volusia County. It serves veterans and provides skilled nursing and long-term care. The facility opened to residents in 1993 and is reported to have 120 beds. It is identified as a state government facility affiliated with the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs. A source describes it as recently renovated, but does not provide a date. The information available describes nursing-home care rather than other senior living arrangements.
Listed room features include private rooms, wheelchair accessibility, cable or satellite television, and emergency call systems. These details address personal accommodation, access within the home, entertainment in rooms, and a way to call for assistance. The listing does not describe room layouts or indicate whether each room has every feature, so the features are best understood as options identified for the facility rather than a description of every room.
Staffing and support features listed include 24-hour staff, an on-site registered nurse, medication management, and housekeeping. These entries describe nursing presence and support with medication-related needs alongside upkeep of living spaces. The facility is designated for skilled nursing care, but the available information does not specify nursing specialties or outline particular treatment programs. Its stated long-term care option also indicates that care is not limited to short stays.
Dining is organized around a restaurant-style dining room. Listed dietary accommodations include gluten-free, low- or no-sodium, no-sugar, and vegan options, covering several types of dietary needs and preferences. The information names these options but does not detail menus, meal times, or how individual dietary requests are arranged. The dining room is a shared amenity, distinct from the private-room features described for residents’ accommodations.
Shared amenities include a chapel or religious services, a library, a barber shop, an outdoor patio, and gathering or activity spaces. Together, these listings describe places for religious observance, reading, grooming, outdoor time, and shared use. They offer a broader picture of the home’s common facilities beyond resident rooms and dining, though the available details do not specify schedules or how often each space or service is available.
The listed social activities are happy hours, wine tastings, dances, and karaoke. These examples include informal gatherings as well as music- and dance-oriented events, with activity spaces also identified among the shared amenities. No event calendar or frequency is provided, so the listing establishes the kinds of activities named without indicating when they take place. Overall, the documented details cover skilled and long-term nursing care, room features, dining accommodations, shared spaces, and group activities.

Whenever we visit our dad, he’s well cared for and the nurses seem like they genuinely do care there. ♥️
Beautiful place with beautiful caring people in a very clean place. Can’t thank everyone enough for all the loving care and support during my husband’s time there. Special thanks to the Delta Wing staff for your kindness and great care you gave my husband Carol
One of nicer nursing homes I have ever visited. Nice sized rooms, a large dining hall, several day rooms as well as a library and barber shop. Really nice ground for the residents. And everyone I met was super pleasant.
I visited my brother-in-law at Emory L Bennett Veterans' Nursing Home. It was great and it looked good. The care was really good. They do everything, respond well to family, and they are taking good care of him. They had a large bathroom. There are two people that share a room. Ideally, it would be nice if they had one person in a room but that's just the way it is right there. They have a gathering area where people can talk and have physical therapy. The staff is friendly and attentive.
I want to first thank the brave men and women who have this great facility to be housed in by th Veterans Association for that there have done and given up for our freedom. Furthermore I'd like to thank all the personnel that I have met there and those that I notice taking care of these loved ones. WHAT AN HONOR. I donate many things from music, readables, audibles, and un-needed medical equipment (i.e., wheelchairs, walkers, etc.). These men and women deserve our love and can use all that can make their lives more enjoyable. GOD BLESS ALL THAT WORK HERE AND ALL THEY DO. THANK YOU.
Administration solved my questions about my husband's stay here. Beautiful grounds. People are really helpful here.
