Discovery Village at the Forum

After living with my daughter and SIL, i wanted to find a place for myself. I shopped around several communities, but after visiting Discovery Village Independent Living, I immediately knew it was the perfect place for me. I loved the apartment floor plan, and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Everyone is always willing to help. Anyone considering a move is welcome to come speak with me on their tour. I have never thought I’d feel so relaxed and at home. I love all the activities and the food! I enjoy helping new residents get to know the community.

I recently visited Discovery Village Independent living with my Grandson, and attended their happy hour event. I really enjoyed the live music, and all the residents were very welcoming. The food was very tasty as well. I would recommend to others.

Discovery Village at the Forum in Fort Myers, FL. We just checked my stepmother into Discovery Village and are very pleased with the facility! Extremely clean, great daily menu and great food, a movie theater, putting green, swimming pool, library, game rooms and daily activities. This facility has it all. The rooms are bright and cheery and the staff is very upbeat and proactive on making it a great experience for the residents. Mary White was the point person at Discovery Village who helped us through the entire process - Mary is very knowledgeable, upbeat, energetic, friendly, and made the whole experience a great experience. If you are looking for a place for your loved one to stay in an independent living apartment, I would highly recommend Discovery Village in Fort Meyers.

I am thrilled with the recent staff changes, the new people working here are just wonderful, helpful, considerate, friendly, just a pleasure to be with. Special kudos to Marsha. She is a gem! It's a beautiful Facility with lots of benefits, including transportation as needed, two meals a day with scrumptious food, many activities, movies, individual games with smaller groups of people, general bingo every day. There's no lack of things to do here. And the rooms are really beautiful and quiet. Free cable and Internet. The area is really peaceful, not in the heart of Fort Myers where it's noisy and trafficky , it's very low-key. There is a Publix right nearby, Pharmaciesand shopping at the forum that includes Home Depot, target, Michael's, and a bunch of other Restaurants and shops , All about a mile away. There are nice places to walk outside around the buildings, it is very dog friendly so you meet lots of little pooches when you walk around. They have a bar and lounge with music every Monday afternoon. They have birthday parties every month. They have a gorgeous pool With tables and shade that almost nobody uses but if you like to swim you will have it All to yourself. They have a piano in the lounge that you're free to play if the urge comes up. They have singing groups and trivia. They're welcome visitors to their guests, and I am one of them. I always feel welcome and people are always happy to see me. I chose this place for my brother-in-law, and I'm really happy I did. I live nearby in Pelican Preserve Retirementcommunity which works out great because it's so close. So if you are a senior and have relatives that require more of an independent living situation, you can have a similar set up with Pelican Preserve and Discovery Village. It works great. In fact many people from Pelican Preserve end up moving to Discovery Village.
