Though many friends were made, the community seemed to have changed so radically that it was no longer a place we wanted to be part of. In our opinion, the HOA became so controlling that excessive spending and selective rule enforcements seemed to be commonplace. Purchased our home in 2018 and was initially very happy with that decision, but over the years became so disappointed that we recently sold our home. If asked, I would strongly recommend prospective buyers to get many opinions of current (as well as previous) owners prior to purchasing in this community. Again, these are just the opinions of 1 owner and I’m sure various & different viewpoints are out there.

Excellent community Absolutely beautiful
Beautiful place, wonderful people. Rules may be more strict than the other communities but that might be helping to keep good looking community. Lots of animals and birds to watch. Great clubhouse with indoor pool and hot tub! We had been living here for 4-1/2 years and never wanted to move.
I feel like it’s my duty to warn the public about what happened to my family, at Del Webb Orlando. My parents moved to Del Webb and were excited about the amenities and ways in which they could find community and connection with people their age. As their daughter, I was reassured that DWO was a safe community that would support them through their retirement. Unfortunately, this was not the case and their move to Del Webb resulted in heartbreak and thousands of lost dollars. DWO boasts about being a gated community but they do no due diligence in vetting people who move there. While most of the residents are over 55, Del Webb also allows adult children to live with their parents. One of these adult children, a convicted felon, moved into the community, to live with her caregiver, and began to prey on aging residents. My parents unfortunately fell victim to her and lost tens of thousands of dollars. She cons residents cleverly, winning them over with flattery and promises, then proceeding to bleed them dry financially. When the money stops, the threats and stalking begins. Unfortunately, Del Webb has no restriction in place to protect their vulnerable residents, despite a person’s known convictions and continued egregious behavior. Do better, DWO and protect your residents.
We love our home here. The lakes and views are truly beautiful. The facilities are well maintained, and the community itself includes residents with huge, caring hearts. You will not find a better place to live.
