Colliers Assisted Living at Port Orange

Colliers has been an excellent place for my mother. The staff from administration to the medical team, environmental services, dining staff, maintenance staff and anyone I might have missed mentioning have been terrific. They all made my mother and us feel like family. The whole staff will be missed.

I would not place my loved one here. The management is very rude ! It is very short staffed not a very nice place to live The food isn’t very good and they promised things they cannot keep 👎

Wickshire management was pretty good and helpful however once sold to Collier's and their management came in, it went downhill fast. As long as you need no help or paperwork processing done for your loved one, then you are ok. If help is needed to navigate anything, good luck, the leg work is your responsibility with no help from management. All management does is stay in their offices all day and will let you know it's your responsibility to follow up on paperwork for faxes, calls, etc. I was told this to my face. Management resposibility ends at collecting the monthly rent. Hope you don't have to go to the ER as nurse had to finish a project before checking on the resident who was in pain. Family member took resident to ER as resident could wait no longer to be checked on or for nurse to appear. Showers are given erratically to residents. I was told they were short staffed repeatedly. Once Collier's took over, snacks were reduced as well as choice of entrees for meals. Staff not properly trained to assist resident's needs. I would not recommend this place to anybody. It needs a good overhaul starting with replacing existing management with experienced, competent management who looks out for the residents. Overpriced for how I saw residents not getting value.

The place is under new management. They will not let me come inside just to visit my mother. She’s in a memory care. I had a dispute when it was Wilshire they let me come on the porch to visit my mother and she complains that is so hot outside. They tell me my power attorney is behind all of this. I checked with my power attorney. She told me that the corporate is involved. These people are a bunch of liars. They don’t care about the residence. It’s all about the money. i’m at countryside lakes yes this competition let me tell you. This is a very good place. It cost a little more but it’s worth it. The dispute was when it was Wickshire. They thought I had a gun in my place. The police was called in two times. They checked it out. They didn’t find nothing. It’s against the rules. I could be evicted and that applies here countryside, lakes no concealed weapons allowed I never own one. Ever I was hoping things would get better since it’s under a new management company. They would give me a second chance. I’m an innocent person. Someone didn’t like me in there. Some of the residents are afraid of me. I don’t understand why I think there’s some sick mentally ill people in there. I’m not making fun of them or putting them down. I’m just stating the facts where I’m at is a high functional place countryside, lakes, senior living. I do miss my mother. I’m in the independent living now doing very well. There are no red flags here but when I was at Wickshire, there was a lot of red flags for no reason at all. I talk to my power attorney and said I want to get a lawyer to look into this, I want to file a lawsuit. Several my friends told me I should do this, but I’ll let it go. I’m moving on and things is working out for me. It’s their loss. It’s a good place for my mother. The memory care is very well. That’s one thing I can say.

Very nice facility. Did a tour while entertainment was signing and dancing, all the residents looked very happy and enjoying themselves.
