Cascades at Delray Beach

I work in the healthcare field and Cascades is clean. I mean spotless. The nurses are attentive and very professional. My mom is well taken care of and I’m very happy for that! They have activities so she can socialize, even on the weekends. I was impressed by the facility and the care.

My mom first arrived when it was Abbey Delray, a beautiful community with adequate staffing. It quickly went downhill… Pat the nursing director is useless, always an excuse and always out of her control. Emails, letters and complaints to the state ALL UNANSWERED AND NOTHING EVER VEING DONE ABOUT PROPER STAFFINNG! My mom is on a budget, this place is close to my home and allows me to be there every single day. Often patients without family visiting are left at the dining tables ALL DAY LONG! My issue isn’t with all of the employees and the majority of them are nice and helpful, but when there are two CNA left to care for all these patients you can bet none of them are changed regularly. My mom has endured countless UTI’s and each and every single time I had to ask for her to be tested. Not too long ago I walked to see my mom hunched over begging for a Dr and not one person came to her aide… she once I complained and texted the Dr they realized she had a massive infection in her mouth she was given a very strong one dose antibiotic and by the next morning she felt fantastic. The state of Florida really needs to properly investigate the people running this place. When u complain you’re told then move her out! They are quick to ask for money without hesitation but the basic needs of all the residents are not met! My mother is 95 and has declined she is now on hospice and I wouldn’t dream of uprooting her, but for anyone else looking for a nice place I would reconsider coming here.

They advertise to people that are deceased 2 years ago. I have called the number on the postcard wrong number. Called the main number left 2 messages for sales department with NO response. Not sure why you send post cards when do you not respond . I called today but appears no one knows where to send someone too. I left a message never got a return call. 05/01/26 I did reach out directly 2 days ago. Never got a call back it appears promptly is just not there. Thank goodness I was calling about a person that is dead the response time for a living person this would be horrible

My Great Aunt was discharged from the hospital to Cascades for rehab. The food left much to be desired but the staff was amazing! We met Mona the night that she arrived. She was patient and kind. I felt comfortable leaving her in her caring hands. Bervelyn, the social worker, was also responsive and helpful after we were all but deserted by Kim. She helped move things along so that my Aunt could be discharged. Otherwise, she might still be there waiting for supplies to be ordered and for referrals to be completed. When she was discharged, the Nurse Miriam was very kind and helpful. She even helped carry my aunt's belongings to the car. Overall, it was a good experience because the majority of the staff exhibited the kind of care that we should be able to expect from a healthcare environment focused on the elderly. I am grateful for them!

Since my husband has been in the rehab rehabilitation center that Care has been very good where he was before he was agitated and did not cooperate while with all the respect that he gets a cascade. He is calm and peaceful.
