We toured Brookdale Canopy Oaks. They were very welcoming when we came in. They were celebrating Mardi Gras. The front person was very pleasant. The place was nice and clean. They had several snacks that they offered. They seemed to have a lot of activities for the residents. The woman whom I initially met, Samantha was her name, welcomed me and asked what our needs were. She also gave me some information on dementia, and so I felt she was very informative on my mother's condition. She also answered all my questions that I threw at her. She was excellent. We toured Brookdale Canopy Oaks. They were very welcoming when we came in. They were celebrating Mardi Gras. The front person was very pleasant. The place was nice and clean. She also gave me some information on dementia, and so I felt she was very informative on my mother's condition. She also answered all my questions that I threw at her. She was excellent. They offered us to come back and have lunch with my mother. The common areas were very nice and very good. The place was very well kept.
What we like the most about Brookdale Canopy Oaks is the friendliness of the staff - Keeping people current on activities - Willingness to help and serve. Based on the experience we have had, yes we would recommend them to other families!

I'm very disappointed in the food at Brookdale Canopy Oaks. I have spoken several times with the chef, and manager, and NOTHING has improved. No excuse for the poor quality meals and service. Also, there is no transportation for the residents to go anywhere. There used to be a transport service to take residents to restaurants, food shopping and go on outings and events. This service has been unavailable for over a year! The facility has raised their rates! We should get a reimbursement for the lack of services. Management changes all the time, no full time permanent staff, all temporary, I wonder why? I'm very disappointed. I expected more from a Brookdale facility.
Highly discourage anyone to put their trust in this facility! Their number concern is getting your money NOT the care and wellbeing of your loved one. I also got cheated out of [fee removed]. Their top priority is filling the vacancies and the quality of care, cleanliness, and meals fall into the low priority category.
Everyone, even though short handed, tries to make my Mom happy. They have Bingo and card games and that keeps her active and has the social interaction with others. A lot of the people who work there like their jobs which the residents see and appreciate.
Yennifer W is such a great asset to this company. Very professional, respectful and happy to be here. She does her job very well and is thorough when explaining things. A very home- like community here.
