St. Petersburg, FL
Skilled Nursing in St. Petersburg, with spaces to feel at home and support for your next chapter.
Ask about this communityBayside Care Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida, is listed as a skilled nursing facility with 92 certified beds. Its care options include skilled nursing, memory care, rehabilitation and long-term care. Facility information describes support for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, as well as services related to post-operative recovery and chronic illness management. The offerings span recovery-related therapy and continuing nursing care, though available information does not specify admission criteria or typical lengths of stay.
For rehabilitation, the center describes physical therapy built around individualized plans and guided movement. Stated focus areas include strength, balance and daily function. These goals connect therapy with movement and tasks used in everyday life, rather than describing a single, fixed recovery program. The materials do not provide therapy schedules or expected milestones, and the specific plan for an individual resident would depend on their needs and health goals.
Other described services address breathing support and palliative care. Breathing-support therapy is focused on lung function and managing breathing symptoms. Palliative care is described as addressing pain and emotional stress. These services are presented alongside nursing and rehabilitation, but the information available does not explain how they are scheduled or combined for a particular resident. The listed services include both therapies with specific physical aims and support focused on comfort.
The center’s own description says treatment plans are tailored to residents’ needs and health goals, and it describes one-on-one attention and collaboration in care. These points outline the operator’s stated approach rather than a set schedule or staffing ratio. The same description notes that local hospitals are nearby, but does not name them or give distances. It therefore provides a general location detail without specifying particular hospital relationships or travel times.
Information about the physical setting notes landscaped outdoor areas and therapeutic gardens, along with activity programs tailored to residents’ interests. The same profile reports renovations to living quarters and shared spaces, with accessibility among the aims, and says staff are available around the clock. These details offer some context about shared areas and daily programming, but do not describe a resident’s individual room, the layout of the building, or a typical day’s activities.
The available materials do not specify apartment-style living, room configurations or dining arrangements. Bayside is described as a nursing-care facility, and its listed services center on skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory support and long-term care rather than independent living options. Information about the gardens, shared spaces and tailored activities provides a limited picture of the setting, while practical details about meals and accommodations are not stated.

I was at Bayside Rehabilitation and Health Center. The rehab people were very good. The nurses were not very good and not very caring, and the doctors came in very, very short, literally 5 minutes at most to spend time with you. They were good doctors and they tried to do the best for you, but they were only allotted so much money. The food was terrible. They kept the place very clean, but the structure of the building was not very good at all. They had all kinds of games and they watched TV. They tried to do things with their residents, and that was one thing that they were good about.
