We do live out of state in Missouri What started out good did not end out very pleasant. My father enjoyed this place and called it home at one time but it turned out that his personal belongings have disappeared over time leading up to his final year there. Everything is gone and no answers except that new management/ownership took over a few years ago. The man's personal belongings including his wedding band,watch, new furniture purchased for him when we moved him…

I do not recommend Balmoral assisted living to anyone. My father spent almost 6 years here before he passed this past December. We do live out of state in Missouri What started out good did not end out very pleasant. My father enjoyed this place and called it home at one time but it turned out that his personal belongings have disappeared over time leading up to his final year there. Everything is gone and no answers except that new management/ownership took over a few years ago. The man's personal belongings including his wedding band,watch, new furniture purchased for him when we moved him in there, as well as an antique Tiffany lamp that was in our family for over 50 yrs. And all of his family pictures that were in his room at one point. Yes I know they moved him up a floor to memory care a couple years ago but where are his belongings??? We assumed in storage there but no , they are all gone!!!! When questioned and a police report filed with police dept i was sent an email of a page of the lease from the previous owners stating they are not responsible of any theft/loss of tenants items.??????? Not just an item or two missing but EVERYTHING my dad owned. I am so hurt over this. It's like no physical memory of my dad exists. Thank you Balmoral!!!!!!!!!! Also when we filed police report at Lake Placid police dept we were told a couple years ago they were called out there for some credit card theft.

Receptionist would not let me drop off an order for a resident despite that being the instructions left by the resident

We visited multiple facilities in Highlands County. Balmoral, by far, is the best memory care facility for our aging parent. Not only very good, but comparable pricing, in our opinion, to lesser places in the county. And we’re so grateful for the loving and capable staff! I drive 19 miles each way and wouldn’t exchange for facility closer to home.
The staff has been great, mom is enjoying her time there and she says the food is good too. Ask for Sheila Smith
My experience with this assisted living facility has been nothing but wonderful. The staff is incredibly professional, caring, and always attentive to the needs of the residents. It’s clear they truly care about the people they serve. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for their loved one.
Balmoral has been such a blessing for our family. The staff dote on the residents like they are family! The food is delicious according to my grandma and she loves the activities they have to offer!
I have been here a year and have found every worker to be kind and caring. Balmoral has a Christian atmosphere which is comforting to me. I am content here.
