Aurora Gardens in New Port Richey has friendly staff who try to be helpful, but the home is poorly managed and often understaffed. The facility has gone through multiple directors in a short time, creating instability and poor oversight. The owner takes no accountability for ongoing issues, and communication with families is minimal. Our loved one often complained about the quality of the meals, which were neither healthy nor well-balanced. There are no consistent activities to keep residents engaged, and the facility has faced serious issues—including bed bugs and numerous complaints—leading…

Aurora Gardens in New Port Richey has friendly staff who try to be helpful, but the home is poorly managed and often understaffed. The facility has gone through multiple directors in a short time, creating instability and poor oversight. The owner takes no accountability for ongoing issues, and communication with families is minimal. Our loved one often complained about the quality of the meals, which were neither healthy nor well-balanced. There are no consistent activities to keep residents engaged, and the facility has faced serious issues—including bed bugs and numerous complaints—leading ACHA to place a moratorium on new admissions. Check the ACHA website for inspection reports and violations since the current owner took over from Angels Senior Living in 2022. Residents deserve much better care and leadership.
I got the tour today, looking like a good place for mom.

Terrible place to work and to be a resident..if you actually love your love one's DON'T PUT THEM IN THIS PLACE! NOT A CLEAN PLACE AT ALL..KITCHEN IS DISGUSTING ROACHES EVERYWHERE! I don't know how they are still open!
I was in Aurora Gardens. The staff was absolutely horrendous. They didn't care. The director was ridiculous, she would run around like she owned the place. The place went through the staff like water. The room I was in originally, the floors were coming up. The whole place itself was horrendous. The food was nonexistent. Very little food. We get a lot more food here where I live by far than they do there.
I was there when it was the angels it was not bad everybody was nice and caring, when Aurora took over forget it I have pictures of the food the kitchen everything it's absolutely disgusting I wouldn't feed my dog I feel sorry for the people that I left behind, I left there in April I wish I had the money to afford to investigate that place don't send your loved ones there
This facility is recently under new ownership and management. When it was [removed] it was great place. My loved one was happy. Once it became Aurora Gardens everything changed. Care, food, accommodations were all reduced to put more money in their pockets and still charged an exorbitant amount to stay there. Items are never repaired. When I would visit the air conditioning would be broken for days at a time leaving all the residents stay in 81 degree temperatures. My loved one complained daily and weekly until their unfortunate passing. I truly believe my loved ones mental and physical decline was brought on in a big way due the treatment at this facility. Do not send your loved one to this facility.
My sister is in Angels Senior Living at New Port Richey and everything is fine. It's a big facility and they're at capacity. It is clean, they have staff on site, and everything is good. The staff could keep a little bit more up to snuff on my sister's care, but other than that, the problems have been addressed and taken care of. They have several activities like dancing, they make jewelry and they play bingo. The dining area is nice, it's very well kept, and it's clean. The food is good, they have an on-site cook.
