Allegro Senior Living – St. Augustine, FL

My mom has lived at Allegro for almost 2 years now. Allegro staff do a great job and my mom has been happy and very well cared for since her arrival.

A little over a year ago, I was involved in a hit and run crash. The driver of the vehicle was wearing a uniform and shirt tag of a staff member from the Allegro. The woman who hit me was using a stolen license plate making it very difficult to track the vehicle after the fact. Because the sheriffs department was so disinterested in assisting due to the fact that there were no injuries involved, a colleague of mine, and I decided to go directly to the Allegro to speak to a manager and try to identify the employee. I spoke with a manager there named Karen who was initially very helpful and said that she’s almost positive she knows who the driver was and then asked me to send her photos of the vehicle that hit me. Before leaving, she told us that she would be in touch with any information that may be helpful however after sending the information and following up the next day, she ignored my message and never responded or answered our calls ever again. After months and months of trying to get somebody to just spend a little time, assisting me with this, I’ve ultimately been unable to get the sheriffs office to help or respond to my calls and messages, I feel that my only recourse is to share this information publicly. I understand in the grand scheme of things that my incident was not a big issue compared to the other crimes the sheriffs office has to deal with on daily basis, but I feel victimized not only by the hit and run, but also lied to and insulted by the management of the Allegro who clearly knows who the perpetrator is and actively making an effort to conceal them. If this is the type of behavior that the staff of this nursing home exhibits, I would be deeply concerned about what they’re doing behind closed doors with people‘s elderly family members that they’re interested to look after.

Allegro is a special place and Julie was a delight to talk with. She went out of her way to answer questions, give me a tour and help me navigate the process of finding a place for my father. Thank you for your help and genuine concern.

I toured this facility and was impressed with the warm, inviting atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly. The private suites were roomy and everything was very clean. I really liked the dining room and large menu to meet everyone's tastes and dietary needs.

Allegro Senior Living sets the bar high! Families are nurtured and cared for at the highest level. Julie and Toni are both a wealth of knowledge when families need guidance and support. Thank you Allegro Senior Living for serving our Senior loved ones so well.
