Advent Christian Village is a senior living community in Live Oak, Florida, in the north-central part of the state. Its grounds cover more than 1,200 acres along the Suwannee River. We visited the nursing home with our church youth group and it was a very clean professional environment!! It felt very homey and the residents were super happy to see us
I lived at the village almost 3 years. But because of a family emergency I had to move out of town. The village offer almost everything you will need without having a car. Much activities as well, you will never be bored.

We especially enjoyed the Advent Christian Village Inc. It was not at all what we were expecting. We were seriously considering it until we had a change of fortune. They do independent living, assisted living, and memory care all in the same building, which is what I was looking for. We're independent at this point, but I know that at some point, we won't be, so I just wanted to move one time and be done with it. I would rate it as the highest of all the ones we have seen. They were complete. They were caring. They have been there for a very long time. They were the most reasonable, price-wise, of all of the places that we looked at. We even had the option of being able to bring our mobile home over there. We decided against it, though, because it was going to cost us a whole lot upfront just to get this place moved over there and pay this place an extra six months' worth of rent if we were to move it. It was just going to be a whole lot of hassle, so we decided against that. The staff members were fabulous. We had lunch there, and it was delicious. We went to their cafeteria and not the restaurant per se. Their food was more like cafeteria food, but it was pretty good. It was past lunchtime, so they didn't have everything out that they would normally have out, but what we had, we enjoyed. We checked the apartments. We didn't get to see any of the condos because those were all full already. The apartments were very nice, very well maintained, and nicely equipped. They were smaller than I would have liked, but you get what you pay for. We liked that. Their common areas are spectacular. They have this beautiful little old-timey village that makes you feel like you're walking back through the 1960s, which is really cool. They have everything in this whole shopping area. They have a barber shop, a hair salon, a nail salon, a restaurant, a post office, a thrift store, and a souvenir shop. It's cute. They have a very nice lodge there for when family members want to come to visit. A younger couple may not appreciate what we saw there, but it was very nostalgic to us.
I toured ACV in Feb with my mom. Jackie was our guide. She was wonderful! and Dawn (HR) was very kind. I'm not 62 but I am mobility impaired. i love this place! I have Muscular dystrophy and need to find a community . ACV is so peaceful and beautiful. Right on the Suwannee River. I felt so relaxed . I felt like this is where I belong. Like home. I'm praying I am accepted
The grounds at Advent Christian Village Inc were lovely. They've got multiple levels. You can live in your own apartment independently. It has independent living to advanced care. The staff seemed a little overworked. They were nice and there wasn't anything wrong with it, but there wasn't anything right. I felt like maybe they needed to hire more staff. I wouldn't choose that place unless I lived nearby and I could track what was going on. I don't think my mother-in-law would be in danger, but I just wasn't 100% sure what kind of care she would get. We had to wait to be seen and it felt like we were a lot of extra work. The rooms were clean enough. They were much smaller. There was no separate bedroom. It's just one room, which for us was not an option at this point. It was a little older and a little tired.
Hi, it's always deb . This is a current photo along the banks of the Historical Suwannee River at THE Advent Christian Village. As you all know, we had a hurricane blow thru there was a lot of damage to our beautiful scenery . 🎄 so sad for trees .We are still cleaning up for the most part. The Advent Christian Village has remand the same Ouite and secluded Always Deb 😘
